Sterling silver jewellery for the bold at heart

sterling silver jewellery

Fransizka Venrath is world wide famous for her amusing jewelry.

I stumbled upon her work quite some months ago and wanted to feature her in this web-site, and here she is!

sterling silver jewellery She uses all sorts of puppets, toys, pieces of dolls.

Has also added Barbie faces, tiny party animals, and souvenirs.

She adds plastic flowers, feathers, bits of glitter and many more witty findings to her jewelry.

You can see all her work in her website: Venrath.ch

Fransizka’s work can give you inspiration for your jewelry making by using toys and puppets.

Just like in the page about Marion Van Cruchten’s childhood memories jewelry, you’ll find a list of kid’s crafts for you to use as jewelry ideas.

sterling silver jewellery Maybe you have an old box full of your childhood toys buried in your basement.

Maybe its time to have a look at it, let´s visit the basement.

I certainly have some old toys around somewhere; there’s even some of my grandmother, you can imagine how old they can be, but that’s precisely their value.

How does she make them? Guess you cut out the parts you want to use using a very good blade (X-Acto are extremely good, but very sharp!).

Then you make the bezel to recieve the toy so that it makes a perfect fit and glue it in. Think it is that simple? Maybe...

Frankly, I haven´t tried doing anything with toys or parts of dolls, but it can be an original way to go forward for special commissions...

sterling silver jewellery Flea markets are the best place to find fun stuff to add to your designs.

You can also search in antique shops and vintage galleries.

Hop around a bit, do some shopping and let your imagination soar.

Thank you for the pictures Fransizka, your work is wild!

You can also have a look at found object jewelry ideas here.
