Organic Jewelry with a Unique Artistic Touch
Organic jewelry is not only about flowers, leaves and nature-inspired sort of design. Organic can also imply, literally, organs or other body systemic parts.
That’s where Emily Watson finds inspiration. With her fashionable link to mixed media that is so trendy right now, she achieves a robust and distinctive design.
Emily was born in North Carolina and raised in Virginia. She has been in the metalsmithing world for the last six years and has embarked in enameling for three years.
In her personal website, she states that: “Medicine is an important part of my extended family history, and has consequently been a vivid resource in my work”.
She studied an MFA at SUNY New Paltz and is currently undertaking new work to expand her unique artistic approach to jewelry making.
She has participated in numerous exhibitions and her work has appeared in some industry publications. Emily has also undertaken teaching.
Emily has both an artistic line of jewelry as well as a production line. She also develops custom work for her private clients.
